Here at Aspire Strength and Wellness we are not a gym where you just come in and perform your workout. We are a Fitness Coaching Facility with a team that creates a positive, motivating, results driven environment that will challenge and change you while having a blast doing it. We understand that every individual is different, that is why every single one of our clients will go through our series of assessments, and testing to individualize and customized their training programs. We take high levels of pride in our coaching and program designed to ensure that every single one of our clients meets and exceeds theirs goals and expectations. As a result, we take joy in witnessing transformations in our client’s self image, confidence, and quality of life. That is exactly what we are aspiring for, encouraging and motivating our clients to aspire for a better quality of life.
I have been a personal trainer for almost 10 yrs. I have been involved with health and fitness ever since I was a child by being enrolled in Taekwondo at the age of 8 yrs old. I earned my first degree black belt at the age of 13 and received my second degree belt at the age of 15 in which I was able to assist in instruction of the art. Throughout high school I was also involved with both football as well as wrestling while still attending my Taekwondo classes.
Growing up I always enjoyed martial arts and competing but I developed an infatuation with weight training once I was introduced to it by my step father during my teens. Once I learned the bare basics of the barbell I was hooked! When kids were at home playing hours of video games, I spent my time “pumping iron” in my home garage. I loved strength training so much that I decided to focus my schooling around it and studied Kinesiology at Sacramento State University as well as earned 2 personal training certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (CPT and Sports Performance certifications).
I began my personal training career through 24 hour fitness and within a year I was able to develop a strong clientele while being able to help many individuals change their lives. Throughout my years of training I’ve helped clients lose up to 100lbs in body weight, I’ve seen clients become ecstatic because they no longer need to take their blood pressure medication due to being healthier, and I’ve helped clients that were barely able to move be able to run their first 5k. These are truly the reasons why I love what I do and what keeps me moving forward while trying to learn more that can better my clients and me. I have helped men and women of all age groups (12-72 yrs old) and I’ve worked with clients with various injuries. I feel 100% confident in my abilities to help anyone achieve their fitness goals while teaching them the proper ways to continue living a healthy lifestyle. It feels even better when you work alongside to other individuals being Edward and Jonathan, that have the same mindset with helping people become the healthiest and strongest version of themselves.

I have been in the fitness industry since 2004 when I started training to improve my athletic performance for my sport it was than when the journey of physical training became a passion and a habit. I started developing healthier habits and better nutritional choices, sooner than I thought my physique, performance and confidence started changing I felt better about my self which inclined me to take on new challenges that I never thought I could possibly accomplish as a results the quality of my life started to get better.
I was so amazed of what I had accomplished with out really knowing much and I wanted to share the same results with everyone else and so I made the decision to follow my passion for fitness and helping others and so the quest of becoming a personal trainer and learning the science, principles and modalities of training started.
I have now been training and helping people reach their health and fitness goals for over three years. I work with people from weight loss, rehab to sport performance, while the majority of my clientele are physique transformation at first, we all need to move better, develop certain athletic qualities and improve muscle imbalances here is where I apply my knowledge and experience I have learned over the years to create programs that would go above and beyond your initial goals in order to develop the best functional and symmetrical body you could possibly achieve.
As a child growing up in a Filipino household, culture was held near and dear to my roots. These roots have developed me into the trainer and person I am today. However, as a child to my late teens I really did not have a sense to what self-control was and as we all know Filipino culture revolves around food and I LOVED food!
However, I fell in love too much. This is where I decided I need to change, weighing in at a hefty 280lbs, 5 feet and 4 inches, and pre-diabetic. I realized that it is only going to get worse if I dont change.
I didn't get here on my own, with the help and support of my family, high school football coaches, 3DMJ, and many influential human beings along the way have fueled me to believe that I can do it. This has been a nine year journey and I feel I have a whole lifetime to go and influence myself and others to aspire higher achievements both physically and mentally!
